Horsforth and District Round 4 of the Trials UK Conducted Series
Report
Well, there was no denying it wasnβt just the temperature that was hot, the competition is also heating up as we are mid-way through the series.
It was fabulous to see some new faces and some well-known names in the sport carrying forward the next generation of Carter Trials Rider.
Red Route
Chatter around the course between these riders certainly left us thinking who would take top spot, as they tried to recall how many marks they dropped.
They didnβt need to worry too much about school work today, as first and second place didnβt need to count past 1.
went to Tom Mitchell with furthest travelled before dropping a mark.
going to Maisie Danes.
Both these riders dropped their 1 mark on the last section of the day, so well done for going most of the day clean.
with 5 marks dropped was Benjamin Swainson, a few bike issues mid-trial saw him sunbathing while his mechanic sorted things. A solid ride overall
50/50 Route
Josh Bancroft, who appears to have had a little Toni Bou serum induced into him, as recently his riding has gone to another level. With only 4 marks dropped all day, it was an impressive ride.
Rex Hunter. Rex is a lad on a mission, and he has no shortage of grit and determination. Finishing the day on 29 marks dropped. Keep up the superb riding Rex, you are certainly make huge progress each ride.
Yellow Route
Mason Baxter, who didnβt put a foot down in a section all day. And my word was he riding with absolute precision both in Wheel placement, Throttle control and body position. Outstanding riding skills today, Mason
Freddie Moore, with 2 marks dropped, both on the last section of the day.
For his first season riding, this one is one to watch. Freddie is a quite little chap, and you know what they say. Itβs the quiet ones you need to watch. So, watch out, because Freddie is coming for your Series points.
Alfie Stable, also in his first season of riding, rode his socks off with only dropping 26 marks, which was possibly his best ride to date. I could be corrected, but I am sure I heard a very Proud mum and dad say they have never been so prouder. Good Effort Alfie, keep it up.
Special mention for the yellow route needs to go to brothers Billy and Adam Carter. A well-known name in our sport, and their skill and determination show itβs in the blood. Finishing 4th and 5th, with Billy beating Adam by only 2 marks. Great going for Adam who was first time out on a proper bike, sorry, his Beta 80.
White Route
Emma Mitchell, she is like a Vampire with a twist, sheβll only come out if the weather is Sunny, and itβs been a little time since Emma has ridden, yet casually comes and smashes it with only dropping 1 mark. The nice weather riding is only part of it, Emma has been doing lots of Competitive Running, Shooting, Swimming, Fund raising for the National Autistic Society. So well done Emma, I need a lie down just thinking of all that.
Jude Horner dropping 3 marks was certainly keeping the pressure on Emma throughout the day.
Here is another young rider who is showing some great advancements in his riding. Harrison Cockshott, AKA Smiler. Super ride with 26 marks dropped, and if you think youβve heard the name Cockshott, Trial GP of Great Britain, 5th β 7th September
And if you want to observe at the TrialGP, give Danny Cockshott a message.
Special shoutouts need to also go to 4th and 5th place.
Toby Stable, 1 half of the duo making Mum and Dad super proud today, and so they should, you rode amazingly.
Arthur Smith, only his 2nd Trial and his Shinny new TRS kind of gave that away, but to finish on 37 marks dropped which is only 10 marks away from 3rd placeβ¦.. Mum / Dad, he has huge potential, and he looked to be smiling and enjoying himself.
Thanks to
Chris Bancroft and Chris Mitchell for setting out a superb Trial.
Martin and Graham behind the scenes doing the entries and results.
The Landowners but most of all,
Thank you to all the Parents, Grandads, Grandmas, Guardians for giving these superstars this opportunity.
